POUSTOVIT - Marie Claire a la Slav

POUSTOVIT
I met a Ukrainian girl the other day and we started discussing fashion. I congratulated her on the fact that Ukraine is finally going to start their very own Vogue. Unfortunately, she said that her country has no fashion sense. I was completely shocked. Or not shocked at all. For so long, many Eastern European countries have dismissed or have not recognized the creative talent of their homeland. Instead, there has been a strong focus on Western luxury brands and trends. Now, fashion in Eastern Europe is starting to be recognized by the rest of the world. But more importantly, designers are being acknowledged by their own countries. It is crucial that major Eastern fashion publications feature these designers in order for their country to develop creatively. Ukraine, for example has some of the best young designers. Here, Marie Claire Ukraine featured a POUSTOVIT top in their June Issue.
